Fundraiser Newsletter 5\21\09Posted Tuesday, June 02, 2009 by David Jones The hard truth is that our team needs $9,000 for this season in order to have the amenities that we all want so badly. That means that each player will need to raise $300. The goal this year is to get the JV team new uniforms!
Meijer Carnival Events
The fundraising can be done in several ways. As of right now, Boys Soccer is partnering with the Girls Cheerleaders in order to do two Meijer carnival events. One on 5\28 with setup on 5\27 and another event on 5\31. A player who works one or both of these events will earn $44 per event towards their $300 goal. The work is easy, and let’s face it, partnering with the cheerleaders isn’t too bad either! Donatos Night In addition to the Meijer carnivals we will also be coordinating with Donatos. On Tuesday, May 26th, Donatos of Burlington will host a fundraiser for us. Between the hours of 4-12p.m., BCHS Boys Soccer will earn 20% of all purchases made with our flyer. This event has serious potential and could make us close to $1,000 if we get the word and flyers out there! The catch is that the people ordering their pizza MUST present the flyer in order for us to get credit. An added bonus to this deal is that the player earning the highest total sales will earn a $50 pizza party! Donatos Booklets Not only is Donatos working with us for a fundraiser night, but they have also provided us with coupon books to sell to the community. The booklets are $5 and if you use them once, they’ve paid for themselves. Each player will be asked to sell 15 books, which adds up to $2,200 for the team! Soccer Camp
We will also be offering a soccer camp to all 1st-8th grade boys this summer. The cost is $50 per camper and we will profit about $45 per camper. The camp is 4 days long and runs 2 hours each day. In order to make the camp successful, we need you to tell everyone you know about it. This could potentially be one of our biggest money maker and there isn't any door-to-door selling involved! If we get 50 campers, we make $2,250! If we get 100, then we could earn HALF of our goal for the season on this fundraiser alone. But we can’t do it without your help in getting the word out. Kroger Rewards
Probably the most exciting fundraiser is one that you really don’t need to sell at all. Kroger will donate 4% of all things purchased on their Neighborhood rewards card. This card is NOT a credit card. It functions just like a gift card that you keep adding value to each time it runs out. They use the cards to track how much we’ve spent as a team, and then at the end of each month, they send us 4%! It’s as easy as paying for groceries! This fundraiser should provide us a steady stream of several hundred dollars a month. These fundraisers combined with our programs and other various opportunities which you will be given more information about at a later date, makes obtaining our goal of $9,000 extremely possible! We can do this!
